The Superlight retains the key characteristics of the standard HED disc, but a selective upgrade in construction materials results in a significantly lower weight. The carbon fiber sidewall is of a higher grade, allowing wall thickness to be reduced without loss of strength. Weight is saved from the aluminum rim by an advanced process of chemical etching. The unique design of hub is also subjected to additional machining processes which eliminate excess grams. This carefully balanced program of weight reduction results in superior acceleration characteristics.
The Pro-Lite Disc is available in rear only, 700c and 650c in tubular form only. There is a choice of screw-on or Shimano compatible cassette, along with a single speed track version. For optimum versatility, the screw-on version can be converted with the aid of a track kit into a single speed track disc.
